Tremezzina, Lake Como – Apartment with lake view in a historic villa

Tremezzina, Lake Como.
Beautiful apartment with lake view in a historic villa from the early 19th century, surrounded by the greenery of a large private garden.
The location, the architecture and the beautiful garden give the villa a truly special atmosphere.
The villa is now divided into 7 units.
This apartment of about 110 square meters is on the second and top floor of the villa and it is organized as follows: large living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, storage room of about 50 square meters, cellar and parking spaces.
The apartment is in good condition, there are some original period finishes, such as Lombard terracotta floors, doors and decorative elements.
The area is residential and of great charm: the lake, some restaurants, bars and services can be reached by foot in a few minutes.

Tremezzina is one of the most popular tourist attractions of Lake Como, situated on the western shore of Lario, just in front of Bellagio, with a stunning view of the central basin and the Grigne.
It is easy to reach it from all Milan airports: about 1 hour drive from Malpensa, a bit more from Linate and Orio al Serio.
The marvellous villas and huge hotels built from the XVIII to the XIX century, have made Tremezzina an international tourism landmark.
In the area of Rogaro you will be able to admire a fantastic ancient tower, remain of the old medieval fortresses. This small beguiling peace of land extends from the lake shores to the hilly background, at the foot of Mount Crocione.  Tremezzina does have two souls, coastal and hilly, both greatly beautiful and suggestive, offering the opportunity to choose different interesting journeys.
Once there, do not miss the typical excursion to Mount Crocione: you will go up to the mountain through a carriage road until Intignano, that continues up to a muletrack for about 3 hours.
Something really involving is the visit to:
Villa Carlotta (XVIII century), famous for the huge botanical park and the stunning art collection;
Villa La Quiete, located in Bolvedro and built by the Dukes of Carretto in XVIII;
Villa La Carlia, notable building of the middle of 1700, designed by Antonio De Carli;
Church of St Maria, popularly known for the lovely statue of Madonna Nera, moved in 1917 from the basilica of Einsiedeln  by a catholic Swiss family.
